How do I know if euthanasia is right for my pet?

At the end of the day, the choice is always up to you and your family. With today’s technology and medications, there are ways for us to extend your pet’s life even if they have been diagnosed with chronic conditions. During a one-on-one consultation, your veterinarian will explain all of the options that are right and suitable for your pet. Some factors that you can keep in mind when making your decision are: if your pet has a condition that is no longer responsive to treatment and if they can no longer eat, drink, move or control their bodily functions on their own.

What happens when a pet is being euthanized?

Current euthanasia practices for pets are 100% pain-free and humane. The euthanasia drug is given via injection and will make your pet peacefully fall asleep. Once unconscious, the medication will cause your pet’s organs to fail.

Can I stay with my pet during their euthanasia?

Yes. We create as comforting a setting as possible as you say your farewell. You can stay with your pet throughout the entire procedure.
